About

Growing up in an Italian household you witness some truly incredible events. From Christmas to Easter and all in-between, every occasion, everyday, food is a focal point!

Christmas dessert at the Di Natale family!

Every meal was delicious! It had that special something to it! Love, perhaps! Or was it much more!

My love of food was created through the countless interactions with my Nonna! Nearly everyday after school, I would go to Nonna’s house for an hour or so and she would always make me beautiful food!!! From pasta, to meatballs, to pizza! It was all things Italian!

In this blog, I will discuss how the experiences I had with Nonna, shaped my time and knowledge of food in the subject: A Taste of Europe! This will be through

  • the critiquing of a regional dish from Italy
  • a review of the foodscape: Lygon Street and North of Faraday Street
  • a review of the true foodie film: Haute Cuisine
  • a reflection of the dish I prepared during the food fair!!!
